Once upon a time…

A baby girl was born in Perth, Western Australia. And her mum and dad named her Katherine. Kat-kat is her nickname. She was born on April 22, 2012 and she is 6 years old right now. When she was 4 weeks old, she already had her first passport. Her mum and dad knew, she was born to travel.

Her first adventure started when she was only few weeks old and flew to a small town in outback Australia. Her first overseas trip was when she was only 2 months old in the island of Cebu in the Philippines where her extended family lives.
With two entrepreneurial parents, at the age of 5, she already knew that she really likes hotels and decided that she wanted to stay in different hotels around the world. With the help of her mum and dad, Kids on Holidays blog was created.

What is kids on holiday blog about?

This is a family run blog – so most of the content or words you see in her is created by Katherine and mostly by Mum Jane and Dad Sean. Our goal for this blog to be a place where kids can freely share their opinions about their holiday experience. This is a blog where kids like you and our 7 years old Katherin can share your holiday experience with each other based on how you think the holiday went. Like for example, you can share what you really think about the food you ate, the places you’ve been, the things you did and didn’t do. What you think about the hotels you’ve stayed and the people there. The key word here is WHAT YOU THINK, not what you parents or your big brothers and big sisters think.

You know when sometimes you go on a family holiday to a nice place and your mum and dad just sits by the pool and read a book. And then you all go home and they say they had such a great time. Well, they did, what about you?

Most times, kids don’t really like to read books and sit by the pool during holidays, don’t you agree? Most times kids just want to play and eat and play and have so much fun. Do you agree? Yes, me too.

Well I think most mums and dads are doing their best so everybody can have fun, but sometimes they don’t really know how you think about it.
So with this blog, we would like you to share what you really think about your holiday. So mums and dads can see what they can do better next time.

I think this will help our mums and dads and also other kids too, especially when we share those places that’s you’ve been and so had so much fun. Don’t you just love to share it with your friends and with other kids so they too can have so much fun?

Sometimes in our holidays, it’s not about where we went, it’s about food too and the people. Sometimes even the hotel cupboards or a simple chair can be so much fun to play with. That’s why I would love to hear from you, because I know we all see things in different ways. We exeprience things differently. So we love love to hear what you think about your holiday.

Hope to hear from you soon. Lots of love from me!
